December 3, 2015

I've moved this body and this soul, though my heart is sometimes still dancing in Texas, I'm delighted for the days ahead  - I've gone north and I've gone west. Denver is home (again)!

Denver has exploded since I left at the turn of the new year in 2011.  Cranes are a typical view in the skyline - people are buzzing down streets as if they live there, oh wait, they do. The urban landscape is filling in, I see less surface parking, I see more buildings hugging the edge, I see more cars navigating the thin roads, I see that light rail running to DIA without any passengers being pulled along...dang it. I see less desolate land, I see more parents with buggies. Long walks will ensue.

+ side note - after taking a look at this blogbaby and the notes and jots i've submitted to the screen i realized i was able to venture to some of the places on my list - exciting! specifically: vancouver, b.c. / the grand canyon / fountainbleu, fr / potrero chico, mx / the denver public library / the notable and chaotic mexico city / big bend national park / marfa, tx / & the newly world heritage sited san antonio missions* - - - it's been years of trotting and i'm grateful for the experiences which have helped shape who i am outwardly and who i am inwardly.

my compassion has grown
my awareness is heightened
my sensitivity towards each man's shoes is tuned
my hope is that my curiosity and observations always stay a float. perhaps a new list is in order.
